Proud-Ness is a Pride event for the LGBTQ+ community and allies in, as well as visitors to, the Highlands. It is being organised by volunteers from the Highland LGBT Forum and is being funded by a grant from The National Lottery through Awards for All Scotland.
The main event is being held in Inverness on Saturday 6 October 2018. The day will start off with a march through the city centre to Eden Court where the day’s events will continue. This will include workshops, talks, music and stalls from different organisations that serve the LGBTQ+ community. The day will round off with an after party at the Mercure Hotel. Further details can be found on the Main Event page. Further information will be added as and when it becomes available.
Prior to the main event, we will be running five OUT-Reach events at different locations throughout the Highlands with the aim of informing people of the Proud-Ness project and the main event itself. It will also be an opportunity to meet some of the volunteers organising the project and to find out about the work of the Highland LGBT Forum. More details about these events can be found on the OUT-Reach Events page.
Thanks to the funding from Awards for All Scotland all events will be free to attend. However, due to a limit on the number of people that the venue can accommodate, the evening disco will be ticketed. Details on how to obtain free tickets for this event will follow in due course.
